Decided to install a Sirius in my Sebring, so easy, not sure it even needs a how-to.
First off, the sales person told me that the antenna has to be outside. Didn't really care for the idea of sticking a magnetic antenna on the back for some ass to ripp off.
It's about the same exact size and shape as the child tethers.
So I took one off and popped off the hinged lid.
I then folded down the back seats and popped off the three plastic rivets that hold down the passenger side of the rear deck.
Note the antenna is already installed in this pic, blends perfectly.I ran the wire down the tether hole and put my hand under the rear deck and pulled it through.
I then removed the rear seat bottom by pulling the two rings in the front of it and lifting it off.
Then i snaked the wire under the passenger side panel.
From there I pushed it under the door jamb. You could remove both these items easy enough, but I didn't find it neccassary.
Popped off the passenger side access panel on the dash and ran it behind the glovebox, fishing it through to the cubby on the center console.
Done!
Only thing left I have to do is make a 12v regulator and hide it somewhere. Right now it's plugged into the lighter.
Came out pretty nice for a 10 minute job. Having the antenna inside the car doesn't seem to effect reception at all and you wouldn't even notice it if you weren't looking for it.
I'm hooked on Sirius! I heard so many great songs I hadn't heard in years in the first hour. Plus, as a subscriber, I can stream it to my PC.
